About Commissioners

The Catoosa Utility District Authority’s Board of Commissioners is made up of individuals elected by the Utility’s consumer members. Term length is six years, and each commissioner is limited to serving three terms total. Elections are held at the main office located at 1058 Old Mill Road, Ringgold, GA 30736, on the first Tuesday of October each year. The election coincides with our Annual Consumer Meeting. Voting times and dates are announced in the local newspaper, on the consumer bills, Facebook page, and website. Consumers who wish to run for the Board must meet the requirements, submit qualifying documents, and pay a fee at the office September 1-8 prior to the election.

A consumer member is an individual named on a utility account or his or her spouse. Each consumer member shall have one vote, regardless of the number of properties owned or utility meters in the name of the consumer.

If a corporate account or entity has multiple accounts in the same name, only one vote may be cast under that name. One representative from a corporation, business, or company may cast one vote for said corporation, business, or company. The representative must provide a letter from the corporation, business, or company stating the representative’s position and authorization to vote.

The term “consumer member” shall not include entities which purchase excess water for resale from Catoosa Utility District Authority. No voting by proxy is allowed. Photo ID required to vote.
